Yo, Stuti Narnolia, he crecido en Jaipur, Rajasthan, que también se llama la ciudad rosa de la India. Los edificios aquí están hechos con piedra arenisca pintada de rosa, lo que le da el nombre de Ciudad Rosa. Fui a estudiar a Jaipur. Estuve allí para recibir educación en ingeniería. Pero la belleza del arte y la arquitectura hechos a mano de Jaipur siempre me atrajo.
Esta ciudad tiene riqueza cultural, arte hecho a mano y artesanías. Siempre me fascinó el arte y la artesanía de Jaipur. Leí sobre su patrimonio, cultura, tradición y arte. También Jaipur tiene mercados inundados de artículos de artesanía. Solía pasar horas en el mercado sólo para verlos y ver su belleza. Sin duda me llaman la atención. Ahora quería saber más y más sobre estas obras maestras. No pude resistirme.
Comencé mi búsqueda de artistas y artesanos expertos que hagan estos productos únicos. Fui a pueblos y a las afueras de Jaipur para ver cómo se hacen las cosas. Me sorprendió su habilidad, calibre, trabajo duro y paciencia. Su talento debe ser la magia de Dios. Estos artesanos han heredado el arte de sus antepasados que ha pasado de generación en generación. Ahora era el momento en que quería aprender estas artes. Aprendí el arte de la serigrafía a mano, la impresión en bloque, el bordado como kantha, espejo, suzani, tie-dye y muchos otros en mi tiempo libre y los fines de semana.
A medida que la vida avanza, así hice mi boda. Después de la boda, me instalé en Gurgaon. Después de un tiempo, mi marido y yo nos dimos cuenta de que mi pasión por el arte iría más allá. Me envió a Jaipur nuevamente para completar mi aprendizaje. Comencé a hacer artículos de decoración para el hogar, como tapices para la pared, almohadas, etc. Siempre trato de poner mi creatividad y nuevas ideas en práctica. La gente quedó deslumbrada por la variedad y vitalidad del trabajo. Ahora comencé a formar equipo. Di formación a los menos privilegiados. Mi trabajo no solo me brinda un inmenso placer sino también una gran satisfacción, ya que alentó a los artesanos pobres a poder ganarse la vida y contribuir a que el arte indio se expanda a nivel mundial.

Yo, junto con mi esposo y mi equipo, hacemos tapices, almohadas, edredones, cortinas, mantas y muchos otros artículos hechos a mano. Lo vendemos bajo la marca MultiMateCollection de Jaipur, India. Nuestros dos artesanos Tajirul y Samir viven en Rajasthan donde fabricamos estos artículos. Tailor y otros compañeros de equipo trabajan desde Gurgaon. Seguimos viajando entre Gurgaon y Rajasthan. Vendemos estos productos. Mi equipo se gana la vida fabricando y vendiendo esto. También fabricamos mantas redondas, almohadas y cortinas con diseños de tapices. El tapiz es una sábana de tela plana a modo de colcha hecha 100% de algodón.
La belleza radica en el hermoso diseño como mandala, árbol de la vida, elefante, celta, celestial, psicodélico impreso a mano. Estas sábanas se pueden utilizar como tapices, ropa de cama, mantas, fundas para muebles, sábanas para picnic y mantas. Estas sábanas están hechas a mano conmigo y con mi equipo utilizando habilidades de serigrafía manual, teñido anudado e impresión en bloque manual. Nosotros, junto con el miembro de nuestro equipo, hacemos este hermoso tapiz con mucho trabajo y paciencia.
Hemos incluido unos bonitos cojines de suelo con mandalas y patchwork. Los cojines de patchwork tienen bonitas combinaciones. Disfrutamos del proceso hecho a mano de trabajo de parches. Disfrutamos jugando con estos hermosos parches vintage y uniéndolos en un collage para darle un efecto de joya a las almohadas. La almohada de patchwork está hecha a mano con tela bordada antigua y vintage por nuestro equipo de artesanos. Los bordados tienen ricos hilos, espejos, lentejuelas, piedras y cuentas. Estos parches de tela se pegan sobre la tela base con goma de mascar ecológica. Están pegados a mano en un estilo hermoso con un patrón artístico de diseño y colores.
Julio de 2018. Nos complace anunciar que tenemos un nuevo artista en la familia. Su nombre es Jhumki. Ella es una mujer de 35 años de Bengala de la India y hace bordados a mano kantha desde su infancia. Jhumki está haciendo bordados kantha en mis diseños. Kantha es un bordado a mano que se realiza sobre capas de telas. Kantha está cosiendo a mano la tela. Para ello se traza una línea o diseño en ejecución sobre la tela. Con la ayuda de una aguja con dos hilos de hilo, se realiza una larga línea de puntos a lo largo de la marca. Las puntadas kantha le dan un aspecto hermoso y también fortalecen la tela. Calco el diseño sobre tela y colores de hilo para bordar. Jhumki hace su trabajo con amor y paciencia.
Para nosotros Handmade no es sólo saber hacer sino también hacerlo. Hecho a mano es hacer algo bonito y único con amor y pasión. Nos encargamos personalmente de que haya amor y armonía en el ambiente y mantengamos el lugar siempre en un estado de ánimo feliz.
We moved to Jaipur, Rajasthan - known for its traditional, colorful art.
I, Stuti Narnolia has grown in Jaipur, Rajasthan which is also called pink city of India. The buildings here are made with pink-painted sandstone which brings it the name of Pink City. I went for studies in Jaipur. I was there for engineering education. But the beauty of handmade art and architecture of Jaipur always attracted me.
This city has richness of culture, handmade art and handicrafts. I was always fascinated by Art and crafts of Jaipur. I read about its heritage culture, tradition and art. Also Jaipur has markets flooded with handicraft items. I used to spend hours in market just to see them and their beauty. They undoubtedly catch my eye. Now I wanted to know more and more about these masterpieces. I was not able to resist myself.
I started my search for skilled artists and craftsmen who make these unique stuffs. I went to villages and outskirt of Jaipur to see how things are made. I was surprised by their skill, caliber, hard work and patience. Their talent must be God’s magic. These craftsmen have churned the art from their ancestor which has been passed from generations. Now it was the time I wanted to learn these arts. I learnt the art of hand screen printing, block printing, embroidery like kantha, mirror, suzani, tie dye and many others in my spare time and weekends.
As life move on, so I did my wedding. After wedding, I settled in Gurgaon. After sometime, I and my husband realize that I shall go further with my passion for art. He sent me Jaipur again to complete my learning. I started making home decor stuffs like wall hanging, pillows, etc. I always try to put my creativity and new ideas to the work. People were dazzled by the variety and vibrancy in the work. Now I started building team. I gave training to less privileged ones. My work do not only gives me immense pleasure but also huge satisfaction as my work encouraged the poor artisan who can run their livelihood and contribute Indian art in expanding globally.
Information about my shop
I along with my husband and team make handmade tapestries, pillows, quilts, curtains, blankets and many other items. We sell it under MultiMateCollection brand from Jaipur, India. Our two artisans Tajirul and Samir live in Rajasthan where we make these items. Tailor and other team mates work from Gurgaon. We keep on travelling between Gurgaon and Rajasthan. We sell these products. My team earn their livelihood by making and selling this. We also make round blanket, pillows, curtain out of tapestry designs. Tapestry is flat fabric sheet like bedspread made of 100% cotton.
The beauty lies in the beautiful design on it like mandala, tree of life, elephant, Celtic, celestial, psychedelic hand printed on it. These sheets can be used as wall hanging, bedding, blanket, furniture cover, picnic sheet and throws. These sheets are handmade with me and my team using hand screen printing, tie dye and hand block printing skills. We with our team member make this beautiful tapestry with hard work and patience.
We have included some beautiful mandala and patchwork floor cushions. The patchwork cushions has beautiful matches. we enjoy handmade process of patch-working. we enjoy playing with these beautiful vintage patches and joining them in collage to give jewel like effect to pillows. The patchwork pillow is handmade from old and vintage embroidered fabric by our team artisan. Embroideries have rich thread work, mirror work, sequin, stone, and beads on it. These fabric patches are stick together on base fabric with eco friendly gum. They are pasted with hands in beautiful style with artistic pattern of design and colours.
July 2018, We are happy to announce that we have new artist in Family. Her name is Jhumki. She is 35 year old woman from bengal of India and doing kantha hand embroidery since her childhood. Jhumki is doing kantha embroidery on my designs. Kantha is hand embroidery that is done on layer of fabrics. Kantha is running hand stitches on fabric. For this running line or design is traced on fabric. With help of needle with two strands of thread, long line of running stitches are along the mark is done. The kantha stitches gives it beautiful look and also strength the fabric. I trace the design on fabric and colors of thread for embroidery. Jhumki does her work with love and patience.
For us, Handmade is not only knowing skill and but also about making it. Handmade is making something beautiful and unique with love and passion. We personally take care that there is love and harmony in environment and keep the place in happy mood always.
