I haven't received my template! Where can I find it?

It should be sent to your email automatically after purchase, but unfortunately it can sometimes take a little bit of time when Etsy has a lot of traffic. You can also find your products in your profile under "Purchases and Reviews". If you still can not find it in your email inbox or your Etsy profile, please feel free to send me a message and we will find another way :)

Where can I find the total measurements of the gingerbread house?

This is shown in the last image of the image carousel on all products. You can also find it in the product description.

The template prints out too small. What can I do?

Make sure that your printer settings are sett to scale 100% If you are still having issues, I have found that this article is very helpful: https://sewpdf.com/blog/pdf-patterns-for-beginners-printing-to-correct-scale/

Is it possible to resize the templates?

Yes! All parts in the template have the measurements written on them, so you can scale them up or down as you wish. A method I find useful is adjusting the scale when printing — simply print the document at a higher or lower percentage than 100%. You’ll find this in your printer settings when printing the file. Please note that the template is made to fit A4, so scaling up might require larger paper size or a bit of puzzling together.

How do I assemble the gingerbread house?

Most templates come with assembly instructions. A document with my best tips for baking, assembly and decoration is also included :) If you need further help you can also always send me a message and I will be happy to help.

Can you make custom templates?

Yes, I can! Get in touch and we’ll find a solution. Please note that it will take a minimum of two days to make, and I don’t make custom templates after November 10th.

What kind of dough is best for building a gingerbread house?

Any homemade or store-bought gingerbread dough will work well for building a gingerbread house. However, if you plan to eat your creation afterward, I highly recommend using a homemade dough, as the flavor is usually better.

To make things easy, my favorite tried-and-tested gingerbread recipe is included with every template purchase on my site. It’s the dough I personally use for all my own gingerbread creations.

Is the gingerbread dough included with the template gluten free?

Unfortunately, no. I have gotten the gluten free gingerbread recipe from glutenfreeonashoestring.com recommended before. I know people have had success with making gluten free gingerbread houses with her recipe, but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

Is the gingerbread dough included with the template dairy free and/or vegan?

Yes! As long as you use margarine instead of butter, the recipe for gingerbread dough is completely vegan and dairy free.
