Frequently asked questions
Are your fursuit parts fully handmade?
Yes — every single fursuit head, paw, and foot you see in my shop is 100% handcrafted right here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I personally handle all stages of creation — from sculpting and pattern drafting to fur trimming, lining, and final assembly. No mass production or outsourcing is involved.
Each piece is individually tailored with careful craftsmanship to ensure both artistic precision and comfortable long-term wear. This also means no two heads are ever completely identical — every one has its own soul and expression 🦊
Do you take custom orders or character commissions?
Absolutely! Custom work is one of my favorite parts of running Paw Craft Lab 💕
If you already have a sona reference sheet, concept art, or even just a few sketches, I can help translate your vision into a fully wearable or display-ready furry piece.
We’ll go through:
Color matching and material choices
Base shape (foam, resin, or hybrid)
Eye type (static, follow-me, LED optional)
Expression style, jaw movement, and ventilation setup
Once confirmed, you’ll receive an estimated production window and timeline updates throughout the process. Custom commissions usually range from 4–10 weeks depending on complexity.
What materials do you use?
All my works use professional-grade materials sourced from trusted U.S. suppliers and specialty furry material vendors.
Fur: Premium luxury faux fur that’s soft, dense, and heat-resistant for trimming.
Base: Lightweight EVA foam or resin structures shaped for comfort and balanced weight.
Lining: Breathable cotton or moisture-wicking interior fabric for safe, all-day wear.
Details: Plastic or resin claws, hand-painted eyes, and reinforced stitching for durability.
I never use real animal fur or low-grade stuffing — everything is cruelty-free, vegan, and built to last through conventions, performances, and photo sessions.
Are your heads ventilated and safe to wear?
Yes! Comfort and safety are my top priorities.
Each head is engineered with internal air channels and breathable spacing between foam layers to ensure steady airflow even during long conventions.
I test every head personally for visibility, ventilation, and weight balance.
Additionally, I trim fur in the inner neck areas and under the muzzle for improved air circulation.
You can also add a small USB fan module if you plan to wear it outdoors or for long sessions — just message me before placing the order.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Paw Craft Lab proudly ships worldwide 🌎
All orders include tracking numbers, secure packaging, and insurance for the item’s full value.
I use USPS, UPS, or DHL depending on your region to ensure safe delivery.
Please note: international buyers are responsible for import duties or customs fees, as each country has its own policies.
How do I clean or maintain my fursuit parts?
For light cleaning, use a damp microfiber cloth and mild detergent — never bleach or alcohol.
For deeper cleaning:
Use a pet-safe brush to gently untangle fur fibers
Air dry only (avoid dryers or direct sunlight)
Keep away from high heat and moisture for long-term storage
For heads: after long use, remove inner padding if possible, and use fabric freshener spray or hand-wash the lining with care.
Every item comes with a care card so you can maintain your piece for years of use 🧼✨
Are your items returnable or exchangeable?
Because each fursuit piece is made to order and customized, I generally do not accept returns or exchanges.
However, if your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
I’ll review and either offer repair, replacement, or partial refund depending on the case.
Your satisfaction means everything — if something feels off, I want to make it right 🧡
Do you make partial or full suits?
At the moment, Paw Craft Lab primarily focuses on heads, paws, and feet paws, but I occasionally open full suit slots a few times a year.
Partial suits (head + paws + feet) are a common request and can be tailored to your height and character proportions.
Follow me on Etsy or social media to stay updated on commission openings and limited runs 🦊
What makes Paw Craft Lab different from other fursuit makers?
Paw Craft Lab is not a factory — it’s my creative home.
Every build reflects my personal design philosophy: comfort, personality, and soul.
I don’t just craft wearable heads; I help you become your character.
I bring a background in visual design and years of experience in cosplay material engineering to ensure each piece is light, breathable, expressive, and stage-ready.
Beyond the craftsmanship, I genuinely care about the furry community — this shop exists to make people feel seen, safe, and inspired.
When you order from me, you’re not just buying a product — you’re supporting a local artist’s dream and joining a community built on love and creativity 💕
What if my fursuit arrives damaged or gets worn out over time?
Every item leaving my studio goes through a full quality inspection, including fit, stitching strength, and visual details. However, handmade items sometimes face rough handling during shipping — or natural wear after long use.
If your fursuit or part arrives damaged, please reach out within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the box and product. I’ll assist immediately with repair, replacement, or a fair compensation option depending on the situation.
For long-term wear and tear (such as loose seams or detached claws), I offer a Repair & Refresh Program exclusively for Paw Craft Lab customers. You can ship your item back to me for professional refurbishment — cleaning, fur fix, or padding adjustment — at a reduced maintenance fee. This wa
