Sharing the joy of gluten-free sourdough, rooted in community and sustainability.
Welcome to our little corner of the world, Pippi's Place Farm, a homestead we've tended for nearly two decades.
Our journey into gluten-free sourdough began out of necessity. When our family had to say goodbye to wheat, it felt like losing more than just bread; we thought we'd lost cherished traditions, favorite meals, and the simple comfort of a warm, home-baked loaf. That's how Blossom, our gluten-free sourdough starter, was born. What started as an experiment became a staple, bringing back pizza nights, sandwich lunches, and stacks of crispy waffles on Sunday mornings. It wasn't just about the food—it was about restoring joy and connection around the table.
Once we saw how much this small but mighty starter transformed our lives, we knew we had to share it with others facing the same struggles. That's what inspired us to create this shop. It was a way to help other gluten-challenged families enjoy real, homemade bread again. We believe that food should be both nourishing and inclusive, and that no one should have to give up baking just because of dietary restrictions.
Community is everything to us. We've been lifted up by the support of friends, family, and fellow bakers who encouraged us to share what we've learned, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Gluten-free sourdough has a steep learning curve, and we're here to help flatten it. Every order comes with a dehydrated backup starter, so you're never starting from scratch. When questions come up, send us a message here on Etsy and we'll help you work through it. Whether you're new to sourdough or a seasoned baker, we're here to support you every step of the way.
Every batch of starter is fed with care, every package is prepared with thoughtfulness, and every order is sent with the hope that it brings warmth to another home.
Thank you for stopping by and for letting us be part of your gluten-free journey. We hope Blossom brings as much joy to your home as she has to ours.
