Founded in 2012 by Alexandra Kouziaki, a third-generation knitter, Plexida is a slow fashion brand of knitwear, ethically and sustainably handcrafted in Greece.
The craft of knitting was passed down from woman to woman in Alexandra’s family; from her great-grandmother, a silk-worm farmer, to her mother, a professional knitter, the rich history of the family craft guided her to a creative outlet-turned-business.
We combine traditional centuries-old techniques with timeless and minimal designs to create premium quality, long-lasting, and essential pieces that will be enjoyed for many years.

Through our commitment to ethically produced raw materials from Europe, sourced from Greek businesses, we strive for local development and economic sustainability.
Our vision is to create environmentally responsible garments and accessories that will become part of your history. To that end, we implement a zero waste approach; every item is either made to order or pre-made in limited batches, while all yarn scraps are saved up for future projects.
Each piece in our knitwear collection is thoroughly made by hand from start to finish by one and the same artisan, as we acknowledge the genuine craftsmanship of our adept knitters and their love for their art.
