Practical tools for meaningful independence
PracticalIEPTools grew from my work supporting learners, families, educators, and disability-service teams. I saw how often talented people were handed disconnected worksheets when what they needed was a clear system they could actually use—from assessment and goal planning to direct teaching, practice, data collection, and review.
I create age-respectful, implementation-ready resources for special education, transition planning, life skills, behavior support, and caregiver collaboration. Each toolkit is designed around a real problem: helping a learner prepare for work, build safety and self-advocacy skills, organize an IEP process, or help a team respond consistently and compassionately.
My process starts with the end user. I map the steps a teacher, caregiver, or support professional must take, then build printable and editable tools that reduce preparation time while preserving flexibility. I use original fictional scenarios, practical language, and clear visual structure so materials can be customized without losing their purpose.
The Career Simulation Studio represents this approach: a teach-practice-apply-review system that turns vocational learning into realistic, observable practice across grocery, cafe, office, and workplace communication settings.
My goal is simple: create thoughtful tools that help people move from paperwork to meaningful participation and greater independence.
