The girl behind the macrame.
I love macrame. I love the clean modern style of tapestry. I love the idea of hanging beautiful texture in your home. I made my first macrame piece in 2016 and fell hard for this maker life.
The most amazing thing about this for me is that I didn't realize I was a creative person. I was into math and logic and structure. I am practical and systematic. I didn't realize I had ideas. It sounds funny but ya, I felt that way. So, for me, starting this macrame business and beginning to see that people liked my work was so life giving. The first time someone called me an artist I was very surprised but so excited.
I discovered that we all have more inside of us. We can dig deep, be willing to fall down a few times, and find something we didn't even know was there in the first place.
So, stepping off of my soap box now, I started my shop in 2017 and began to sell macrame pieces. I love to knot the string onto a piece of wood and see what happens.
It has been such a joy to see my work in the homes of my customers.
