4 out of 5 starsOverall, I'd say this helmet was worth the price, and is a good piece of starter kit. The helmet stand is pretty cool too. Its handmade nature is evident if you look closely. On the one I recieved, the point of the tail droops down suddenly and unevenly, which can be seen in the picture. Its chin strap could also use some work, as it only has one strap for adjustment and it fits loosely, even with a coif worn under the helmet. There's a sort of rigging system inside the helmet for adjusting how high or low you want it to sit on your head, so there is some adjustability, but I haven't yet been able to get it to sit just right. I wouldn't bring it to any sort of SCA or Buhurt combat, but it should be just fine for slightly rougher LARP combat. If you're dressing as a guard, footsoldier, or mercenary, this will do just fine.
