A passion found through a rare disease diagnosis - Lipoedema
I love to be creative! I am always looking for carefree bohemian style clothes for my wardrobe and find them especially difficult to find, especially for me (plus sized and diagnosed with Lipoedema - a rare connective tissue disorders that causes unusually large arms and legs)
I started by simply taking t-shirts and adding large scarf like sleeves. What I created because of my inability to wear normal size t-shirt sleeves blossomed into a fun and fanciful bohemian fashion piece that I got compliments on every time I wore out. I now have 20 of them myself and can no longer justify adding to my wardrobe...so now they will be available to anyone.
The boho winged arm pieces are also One Size Fits All (most) and also look adorable on M & L sized women.
I also started modifying/upcycling other clothes items in my closet that as my Lipoedema worsened (especially bad with menopause), I struggled to wear comfortably. As I mixed, matched, and created comfortable pieces that I am so proud to wear, I realized I have a passion for designing these unique fashion statement pieces. Once again, my wardrobe was complete, but I couldn't stop sewing!
I also love Jesus and wanted to find a way to merge fashion pieces with inspirational quotes—thus was born the Inspo Flannel collection.
Today, I spend many days in thrift shops looking for unique pieces that I can blend and accessorize to not only be comfortable for ALL sizes but also to help others who love these fun bohemian/vintage-inspired pieces find quality pieces at reasonable prices. It doesn't hurt to get complimented by everyone you meet either! How fun for your clothing to be the topic of conversation everywhere you go—because these pieces are as unique as you are
