I am sorry that shipping was high on this item. But please note that the shipping cost was clearly listed prior to purchase and sellers have no control over shipping charges--those are set by USPS, UPS etc. and are dependent upon size of item and buyer distance from seller. Shipping charges have increased substantially in the last year with rising fuel costs. In this case a very large, fragile, and heavy item was shipped from coast to coast.
