I am a practicing US clinician with over 10 years of healthcare experience, and 7 years of urgent care work. After years of seeing the same stressful medical situations unfold, I wanted to create something that helps families feel confident when deciding what to do next. I originally wanted to write a book, but I figure making fridge magnets will stick more. (womp womp)
In addition to providing the basics of cause and care of each medical topic on the cards, it is also very important to me to communicate when to treat at home, when to schedule an appointment and what scenarios necessitate an immediate professional evaluation. That's where my "traffic light" system of home triage was born.
To my knowledge, this is the first healthcare reference product that combines education with a visual triage guide. It is designed to make medical decision-making easier and more accessible (because healthcare definitely isn’t getting cheaper).
Each magnet is made by hand; printed, laminated, and cut by me. I wasn’t trained as a designer, but I learned every step so I could keep quality high and costs reasonable. Please handle them gently!
