Driftwood, Chaos, Fingerpaint, and the Creative Moment
It started with driftwood and finger paint... no joke! I was walking on the riverbed many years ago and I found a really tall piece of driftwood. I had a cheap burner and a "creative moment". I burnt an outline of a snowman, then painted it; it hasn't left our livingroom since.
My hubby kept telling me my creations were beautiful and I should sell them. I didn't think anyone would buy them... until a local primitive shop did and sold out (yes dear, you were right...again!). With a newborn and full=time college schedule, there was no "me time", so I took a 2 year break.
When I started back up again, I made a few things for myself, family, and friends. Sold several pieces to my biggest fan and supporter, Kim A. - THANK YOU!! :D
As I shared pictures of my work, I kept hearing that I needed to open an Etsy Store, so here I am... finally!
This isn't my "job", it's a hobby and a great way to release some stress while helping my family out financially. I have to admit that I really wouldn't complain if my hobby became a full-time job. Hopefully I'll figure out the whole shipping process before then!
But right now, I'm a full-time social work (non-traditional) student at the local University in my SENIOR YEAR!! (WOOT WOOT), mother of two wonderful boys, and "wifey" to an incredible and supportive man. I LOVE YOU HONEY!!
I hope my creativity puts a smile on your face as it does mine!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and happy shopping!
