Obsesssed with golden age mid century painting

I had a very unconventional early life. My family moved a lot and some of my brother's friends referred to us as that "gypsy family". The plus side was I saw much of Mexico's countryside by car. My dad was also an artist so I inherited that fire, so it was fitting that I chose to be an artist. Actually, I don't think I chose it. More like it chose me.

I was really influenced by old Science Fiction, Underground comics, mid century art, surrealism and the experience of being an outsider. That is the best way I can describe what fuels my art.

I work very hard to create work that is authentically me and dislike to follow gimmicky or trendy approaches. I also strive for my work to be as technically and professionally made as possible.
