Born to craft
When I was 5 years old my mom was crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said I was too young to understand but she needed money. The next day my mom said I came to her with a few $1 bills. She asked me where I got the money. I told her I painted rocks and sold them to the neighbors. Ever since then I have always loved art and always hustled for money some kind of way ❤️
In 2014 I had my second child and became a sahm. I always had my own money so I did not like depending on my husband. So I opened my first shop www.Etsy.com/shop/kelsknicknacks and did great. Of course life gets in the way and eventually had to shut down my shop and became a single hard working mom that worked her life away in the plants working 7/12s. It was stressful and took all my time away from the kids, but it was good money.
I never thought I would have time for my crafts again because if you know that industry work, you know you have no time for anything extra. But then covid 19 happened and I had a great permanent jobs, but I was laid off. So now what? Well I have time for crafts. I have learned so much since the last time I done crafts so I was excited to make money new things. One thing I made for my self was a front porch welcome sign. Well a family member seen it and wanted it so I gave it to them. I posted a picture of it on snap chat and that’s when orders started coming in.
So I decided to open this new shop www.Etsy.com/shop/rustictimberplay and put all my wood items here. I also opened back up my kelsknicknacks shop and things have been going great. My goal is to make enough so I do not have to go back to working over 80 hrs a week in a plant away from my babies.
So if you have any custom request for any wood signs please let me help you. I love making them daily.
Ps. I still don’t have a welcome sign for myself 🤦🏼♀️
Thank you
Kelbie
