I started this business in 2009 and have a background in botanical medicine, botany and foraging as an Herbalist. I have studied under Dr. Jesse Hawkins, a professor and researcher at the Franklin School of Integrative Health Sciences as well as Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and Herbal Academy. I'm also a Certified Organic Cosmetic Science Specialist and Formulator.
I use the apothecary method in producing my formulas, which is everything being measured by weight so that I get consistent accurate results.

I use USA made compostable sustainable packaging, recycled plastic (when plastic is needed) ethically sourced ingredients that aren't harmful to the environment to harvest and local ingredients to help support farms and small businesses.

Truly the meaning behind the name Salt & Light is I utilize this business as a vehicle to serve others and spread God's Word. A portion of my profits and products are dispersed where God leads me.
