We all know the magic of music, right? That mood-bending, nostalgia-inducing, experience-making kind of magic? Well our mission is to turn *that* into fragrances that do the same thing.
In short, SELDOM OUT creates olfactory FUN inspired by the music that moves us and the art of being home.
With a hand-crafted and slow made line of scented goods, objects and oddities we draw our inspiration from our real life recollections, our favorite mixtapes and all the many emotions they evoke.

OUR FOUNDER
Jenna is a website manager from London, England who now lives in Chicago, USA.
Best described as melomaniac and introvert she spends a lot of time happily at home (hence seldom out, get it?) with her husband and dog and soundtracks most of their moments there.
Her love of candle making started when she was a pre-teen in the 90’s, but she’s only been working on SELDOM OUT since 2018 when she started creating fragrances to match the mood of the albums she was listening to.
Jenna, blends her own life experience and love of music into each one of our original scents, and pairs it with a meticulously curated mixtape of songs that she hand picks herself.

SLOW MADE // HAND CRAFTED
Each of our unique fragrances are the product of months of work. What starts off as hearing a song, that quick spark of a memory and the resulting feelings is brought to life through the medium of fragrance.
Every candle is then designed, tested and hand poured for you in small batches right from our Chicago, IL studio. We pair each of our fragrances with a soundtrack that perfectly captures the feeling.
