This Episode is called 'Watercolor'
The How: I never planned on having children; I was told that I was unable. In that universe, Bluey would have been nothing more than a meme that I ran across on social media and never knew anything more about. Instead, 'Surprise' my husband and I were able to have 2 beautiful children and Bluey is a household favorite! Through the winter season Bluey played almost on repeat most days. So with my background in marketing, my grandfathers art supplies and the sounds of Bluey coming from the living room I found myself inspired to create greeting cards.
The What: The greeting card, an item so simple but largely passed over for the ease and immediate delivery of social media sentiments. My art supplies started with ones left behind from my grandfather. He was an artist for GE and worked on some original Disney designs including the monorail but he left behind so much of himself within his doodles and cartoons on scrap paper.
The Why: Art has always been a part of my family but it was not something that I ever considered as a career path. Now, at the end of my days once my little loves are tucked in and snoozing, I put pen and brush to paper to release some of the tension from the stay-at-home-mom daily life. As Olaf says "We're calling this, 'controlling what you can when things feel out of control.' "
