Dal mio frenetico ufficio a Little Rock, Arkansas, dove la creatività incontra la determinazione, gestisco ogni aspetto di Sticky Monkey Labels, un'attività nata da esperienze di genitorialità reali e ispirata dai miei tre fantastici ragazzi.
Crescere in un'incantevole fattoria in Oklahoma mi ha insegnato il valore del duro lavoro, mentre le mie radici californiane mi hanno donato quello spirito imprenditoriale. Ma è stato solo quando sono diventata mamma che ho trovato la mia vera vocazione. A partire dal mio figlio maggiore (soprannominato "Monkey", che ha ispirato il nome del nostro marchio!), ognuno dei miei figli ha plasmato non solo la mia vita, ma anche i prodotti che creiamo.
Quando mi sono avventurata nell'imprenditoria, è stato uno dei momenti più belli e caotici della vita: subito dopo la nascita del mio secondo figlio. A sole otto settimane, è diventato il mio "collega" più piccolo, sonnecchiando accanto a me mentre costruivo questa attività da zero. È letteralmente cresciuto insieme a Sticky Monkey Labels, e c'è qualcosa di speciale nel sapere che sia il mio bambino che la mia attività hanno mosso i primi passi insieme.
Come mamma di tre ragazzi – due con diverse allergie alimentari e un figlio adottivo con qualche difficoltà – comprendo profondamente le sfide quotidiane che i genitori affrontano. Ogni prodotto della nostra collezione nasce da esperienze di vita reale: dalle etichette di allerta allergie ispirate alle diverse allergie alimentari dei miei figli alle nostre etichette identificative per esigenze speciali. Questi non sono solo prodotti; sono soluzioni che ho creato perché ne avevo bisogno io stessa.
Cosa rende le etichette Sticky Monkey diverse? È personale. Ogni singola etichetta viene realizzata su misura al momento dell'ordine: qui non abbiamo un magazzino di prodotti pre-confezionati! Quando effettui un ordine, sono io a crearlo, stamparlo e a garantire che soddisfi gli elevati standard che mi pongo come mamma. Dal rispondere alle email e alle telefonate dei clienti alla programmazione del nostro sito web e alla creazione di nuovi design, mi occupo di tutto, mentre educo i miei figli a casa e gestisco la nostra frenetica famiglia.
Questa non è solo un'attività commerciale; è la dimostrazione del gioco di prestigio che tanti genitori compiono quotidianamente. Che si tratti di preparare il pranzo per la scuola, di preparare il campo estivo o di organizzare il materiale per l'asilo nido, ci sono passata. I nostri prodotti sono creati con una reale comprensione delle esigenze dei genitori, perché vivo le stesse esperienze proprio come voi.
Qualcuno potrebbe chiedersi come faccio a gestire tutto: gestire un'attività, fare scuola a casa e crescere tre ragazzi. La verità? Alcune giornate sono disordinate, altre caotiche, ma ogni giorno è pieno di significato. Lavoro sugli ordini mentre supervisiono i compiti, progetto nuovi prodotti nei momenti di tranquillità e a volte rispondo alle email dei clienti a mezzanotte. E sapete una cosa? È proprio questo che rende i nostri prodotti così pratici e affidabili: vengono creati nel bel mezzo della vera vita familiare.

So in prima persona come quelle frenetiche ricerche di bottiglie d'acqua smarrite, giacche smarrite o scatole per il pranzo fuori posto possano rubare i momenti preziosi che trascorriamo con i nostri figli. Ecco perché faccio quello che faccio: perché ogni minuto che non passi a cercare oggetti smarriti è un altro minuto per le storie della buonanotte, le avventure al parco giochi e tutti quei momenti insostituibili che compongono l'infanzia.

When I ventured into entrepreneurship, it was one of life's beautiful chaos moments - right after the birth of my second son. At just eight weeks old, he became my tiniest "coworker," napping beside me as I built this business from scratch. He quite literally grew up alongside Sticky Monkey Labels, and there's something special about knowing that both my baby and my business took their first steps together.
As a mom of three boys - two with varying food allergies and one adopted son with some challenges - I intimately understand the daily challenges parents face. Every product in our collection is born from real-life experiences: from the allergy alert labels inspired by my sons' different food allergies to our special needs identification tags. These aren't just products; they're solutions I created because I needed them myself.
What makes Sticky Monkey Labels different? It's personal. Every single label is custom-made when you order it - there's no warehouse of pre-made products here! When you place an order, I'm the one designing it, printing it, and ensuring it meets the high standards that I set as a mom myself. From answering customer emails and phone calls to programming our website and creating new designs, I handle it all while homeschooling my boys and managing our busy household.
