5 out of 5 starsThere were some delays on my end and with the post office, but communication throughout was excellent and the print came out perfect, even tiny/thin parts I was afraid about breaking. Definitely worth it.

5 out of 5 starsJames was absolutely phenomenal. I wanted to get a custom wedding cake topper made for my dear friend because she was unable to place an order with a different Etsy shop that quickly sold out of the cake topper she originally wanted. I reached out to James to see if he would be able to create the 3D model file from a sketch I provided so that I could get it 3D color printed through a different company. Not only did he build a perfect 3D model figure based on my drawing, he also found a company that could do a full color 3D print by our deadline. The final product surpassed all of our expectations (especially the bride and groom) and was one of the highlights of their special day. I will be sure to utilize James' services again in the future because he was truly amazing.

Frequently asked questions
What do I need to get started?
References are appreciated and usually required when requesting custom or original models, and an existing model must be provided or linked to for editing.
What sort of prices can I expect?
Modeling Services are billed at a rate of $25/hour. When the order gets invoiced depends on the work being done and what is discussed. Click the "Request Custom Order" button on my shop page or message me to open a dialogue with me for a quote.
3D Printing Service prices vary by request and are based on estimated time and materials to produce. Discounts are considered for bulk requests.
If you would like a quote click the "Request Custom Order" button on my main shop page or send me a message with your request.
When can I expect a response?
I usually respond within 24 hours.
Please be aware that due to the large volume of requests I receive and the fact that I am a one-person business, I have to be selective with the work I take on. I make an attempt to respond to every request I can but I apologize if I am unable to respond immediately, or accept a request due to time constraints or it being out of my ability for any other reason.
Can you make characters for tabletop games?
If you need a custom character mini for D&D or other games I will see what I can do, but there are many existing models on the web as well as services to create your own custom character models which may be more cost effective. Please see the links below.
Where can I get 3D model to have printed?
If you are looking for a model to print, the following websites may be useful:
https://www.heroforge.com/ ( for custom miniatures)
https://www.thingiverse.com/
https://pinshape.com/
https://www.myminifactory.com
http://www.yeggi.com/
What's the largest model you can print?
Resin 3D print models can be scaled to the maximum size capable and larger objects may be split into separate parts to print in multiple batches which may incur additional costs.
Maximum Print Volume for resin: 292mmx165mmx400mm (11.5″x6.5″x15.75″)
FDM or Filament 3D print models can be scaled to the maximum size capable and larger objects may be split into separate parts to print in multiple batches which may incur additional costs.
Maximum Print Volume for FDM: 300mmx300mmx400mm (12"x12"x~15")
What material do you use ?
I use a mixture of UV activated resins and thermoplastic filaments depending on the Technology being used.
Resin printed objects are relatively smooth to the touch, and layers are virtually invisible to the naked eye depending on the model. Miniature figures, jewelry, game pieces, mold-making, investment casting and other small, finely detailed objects are best printed with this technology.
I use various forms of thermoplastic filaments. Different types of filament have different properties and are usually chosen based on the type of model being printed, and whether or not it will be a functional part. Some materials include PLA, ABS, PETG and other PET formulas, TPU for flexible objects, and TPE for stretchy objects.
How durable are 3D Prints
Recent improvements in available UV resins has led to far more durable resin prints, making them less likely to break or chip. In most cases, normal use with proper handling should not be an issue. My resin prints are as durable, if not more durable than the prints you get straight from HeroForge. Be aware that in specific cases with specific resins, results may vary.
Most Filament based 3D prints are very durable, though the type of filament and the application of the print makes a big difference. PLA is rigid and strong, but is less flexible and heat resistant than ABS or PETG. TPU and TPE are like rubber and elastic respectively and also stand up to pretty high temperatures.
