▷ ABOUT ME ◁
I am outdoors girl through and through, avid gardener, cat lover, fantasy enthusiast, mermaid at heart, wannabe-yogi, and a mama of two. My earliest memories are running barefoot picking sun warmed berries and catching butterflies with homemade nets. When I wasn’t outside getting dirty (usually with my sister), I was creating with anything I could get my hands on! Sketching flowers with my Mom, clay modeling, painting, and sewing with Mom mom, to name a few.
I went to college for Art Education at Messiah College where I learned digital printing and honed my painting skills. After student teaching in 2012 I realized my heart was more for creating rather than teaching. With a push from my husband I opened an Etsy shop and got some of my watercolors in local galleries. Now I sell exclusively on Etsy and hired my mom to help with all the printing and packaging of my orders. I have studied and always loved all mediums but lean toward watercolors because the water has a mind of its own and adds a freshness and freedom to each piece.
I currently live and work in a home bordered by woods and a little stone walled garden, along with my husband Josh and two daughters, Rory and Niah. We have a full house with 4 cats (Timber, Baloo, Tangawizi, and Hobbes) and a German Shepherd Beorn. Being an artist looks a little different right now as a I have less time in my studio and more time herding a toddler and baby. I am still learning to slow down, pick the wildflowers, and savor the little moments. When I am not with my family, wondering around my garden, or hugging cats, my days are spent painting, drawing, or designing new art pieces. My painting studio is a cozy nook lit from many windows with views of trees. I can be found painting most often at night with my windows open wide so I can hear the song of the tree frogs and crickets. Thank you for being here!

▷ ABOUT MY PROCESS ◁
All of my fine art prints (with the exception of the Xlarge and canvas prints) are made by my team and I, here in the studio. By printing to order, I am able to create a fresh print every time an order is placed. While this process is much more time consuming I find it's worth it, and can offer you the highest quality prints, custom sizes, and it allows me to inspect every single print.
▷ ABOUT MY INSPIRATION ◁
I am endlessly inspired by nature and creatures. I like to study and recreate the gorgeous masterpieces found in the sea and woods. I also have been impacted deeply by books and lore. I grew up reading The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, and Disney fairytale classics. All of which helped shape my imagination and creativity. I find that reading, like painting, lets you enter a world of your own and inspires me daily.
I am so proud to share that now every month a portion of the proceeds from my shop go to support the following four groups that are working hard to protect our environment.
🌱THE RAINFOREST FOUNDATION (www.rainforestfoundation.org) Saving rainforests by working with the people who live in them.
🐾PANTHERA (www.panthera.org) Fighting to stop poaching, and conserve the habitats of our world's big cats.
🐬WHALE AND DOLPHIN CONSERVATION (us.whales.org) Dedicated to the conservation and protection of whales and dolphins. My shop has adopted Holly the orca and Sirius the humpback!
