Siempre hemos tenido un amor por tomar materiales ordinarios y usarlos para crear cosas extraordinarias que encajan en nuestra vida cotidiana. O, como nos gusta decir, vive creativamente y celebra todos los días.
En sus primeros años, Elizabeth comenzó un blog personal para capturar y compartir hermosos momentos de su vida. Ella llamó a su blog The Path Less Traveled de acuerdo con el final de su poema favorito, The Road Not Taken, escrito por Robert Frost. Sin darse cuenta de la diferencia que haría años después.

A principios de 2009, John experimentó un serio recorte salarial en su trabajo "normal" y las finanzas se volvieron muy ajustadas. Era hora de un camino diferente. Tanto John como Elizabeth habían nacido en familias que valoraban la creatividad y soñar en grande. El trabajo duro, la determinación, la iniciativa y el sacrificio fueron valorados como los peldaños para hacer realidad esos sueños. Con una rápida lluvia de ideas, ambos se dieron cuenta de que John era un emprendedor de corazón y Elizabeth tenía un amor por los artículos hechos a mano. ¡Era hora de comenzar su propio negocio!
En la primavera de 2009, después de juntar unos pocos dólares para comprar unos metros de tela para hacer delantales, abrieron su primera tienda en BigCartel.com. El negocio necesitaba un nombre. Una pegadiza. Uno que se destacó y los separó de todos los demás. Después de unos días de hablar de ello, John sugirió que Elizabeth usara el nombre de su blog. Así nació The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Las ventas fueron lentas, pero mostraron signos de crecimiento. Para 2010, The Path Less Traveled® había cambiado las plataformas de mercado a Etsy.com y había agregado algunos artículos de papel, artículos antiguos y guirnaldas de tela. Hoy en día, The Path Less Traveled® se encuentra en dos plataformas comerciales importantes, ofrece cientos de artículos hechos a mano y envía a todo el mundo.
Desde el humilde comienzo de hacer delantales simples hasta proporcionar arte en 3D para que las grandes corporaciones lo usen en sesiones de fotos dinámicas, The Path Less Traveled® continúa innovando y buscando formas creativas de convertir materiales ordinarios en cosas extraordinarias. We have always had a love for taking ordinary materials and using them to create extraordinary things that fit into our everyday lives. Or, as we like to say, Live Creatively & Celebrate Everyday.
In her early years, Elizabeth started a personal blog to capture and share beautiful moments of her life. She named her blog The Path Less Traveled in keeping with the end to her favorite poem, The Road Not Taken, written by Robert Frost. Not realizing what difference it would make years later.

In early 2009, John experienced a serious pay cut at his “normal” job and finances became very tight. It was time for a different road. Both John and Elizabeth had been born into families that valued creativity and dreaming big. Hard work, determination, initiative, and sacrifice were valued as the stepping stones to making those dreams become reality. With some quick brainstorming, they both realized that John was an entrepreneur at heart and Elizabeth had a love for handmade items. It was time to start their own business!
In the spring of 2009, after scraping a few dollars together to buy a few yards of cloth to make aprons, they opened their first shop on BigCartel.com. The business needed a name. A catchy one. One that stood out and separated them from everyone else. After a few days of talking about it, John suggested Elizabeth use the name of her blog. Thus was born The Path Less Traveled®, LLC.
Sales were slow but showed signs of growth. By 2010, The Path Less Traveled® had switched market platforms to Etsy.com and added a few paper goods, vintage items, and cloth garlands. Today, The Path Less Traveled® is hosted on two major shopping platforms, offers hundreds of handmade items, and ships around the world.
From the humble beginning of making simple aprons to providing 3-D art for large corporations to use in dynamic photo-shoots, The Path Less Traveled® continues to innovate and look for creative ways to make ordinary materials into extraordinary things. With the rapid development of new technology and some strategic investments, The Path Less Traveled® is excited to push the boundaries of this passion for many years to come.
