It started with one of those half-serious, half-playful conversations between me and my fiancé. We had a growing list of things we said we’d do—clean the garage, finish that side project, stop scrolling before bed—but somehow, none of it was getting done. So, as a joke, we wrote up a “contract” where we agreed to finish our tasks… or pay a silly little fine.

It worked.

We laughed, we actually followed through, and best of all, we started to feel more connected and motivated. Soon our friends wanted in. That’s when the idea for The Task Contract was born.

We wanted to create something simple, fun, and meaningful to help others like us—partners, friends, roommates, even coworkers—stay accountable in a lighthearted way. Our digital contracts are designed to make getting things done just a little more intentional (and a lot more fun).

This shop is truly special to us. It’s not just a small business—it’s something we built together from scratch, inspired by our own real-life relationship and challenges.
