Threads of Life was born out of a desire to see lasting change in those on the margins of society through dignified and sustained employment.
We partner with an ethical producer whose mission is to bring fresh starts to people in Kathmandu through their not-a-sweatshop manufacturing facility. Every employee is eligible to receive school scholarships for their children so that the cycle of poverty will be broken for the next generation.

'Since I can remember I have been passionate about traditional textiles which led me to study Textile Design at the Royal College of Art. But textiles in themselves weren’t enough; I wanted to make them into accessories so I had reason to use and enjoy them each day.
Finding an ethical production partner was the key to this, so I was excited to make contact with an ethical Nepali manufacturer. All of the Threads of Life products are now produced here, so by purchasing our cases you are bringing life to those living on the margins of society in Nepal.
