Hi there! Thank you for finding your way to Travel Light Designs! I'm Mykie from Kailua, O'ahu. I am a clairsentient & empath but a public interest lawyer by trade.
When my best friend first introduced me to the metaphysical healing properties of crystals, I was obsessed. I bought every book, spent hours researching online, spoke to Reiki healers -- I wanted to know everything I could about these powerful stones and I wanted to curate a thoughtful collection. Once I started collecting crystals, I realized there weren't many ways to safely-but-fashionably carry them on me (anyone else try the inside the bra cup trick or experience the lumpy jeans pockets? lol). I didn't care for the wire cages available for purchase in shops, so I started wire wrapping them myself. Since then, I have been wire wrapping crystals to create jewelry for myself and for friends for years. With their love and encouragement, I finally decided to open an Etsy shop to share my work with a wider audience.
Q: How was the name "Travel Light Designs" conjured up?
To me, carrying a crystal or two (... or ten lol let's be honest) allows you to have a bit of peace, light, and healing, no matter where you are (thus: a travel-form of light and serenity). Crystals also allow you to slough off whatever negative thoughts or energy is weighing you down (or: travel light).
