What is the requirements of the seeds I purchased?
Once you receive your seeds they will need a pre-treatment. Do not plant your seeds until the required pretreatment is done. Almost all of our seeds require a pretreatment prior to planting. Most of them will need to be scarified and cold stratified to break dormancy and be able to grow. You need to break the dormancy of the seeds to allow them to grow by mimicking winter with cold stratification. Please do not just plant your seeds. This will not result in success with your seeds
What is cold stratification?
Cold stratification is the pretreatment almost all seeds require for them to break dormancy and be able to grow into trees. To pretreat your seeds before planting you'll need to stratify them.
The process is to put them in a baggie filled with peat moss that is moistened and slightly opened in the crisper of the fridge. This process takes generally 1 to 3 months with some type of taking eight months.
EVERY ORDER IS SENT A GROW GUIDE THAT WILL EXPLAIN THE PROCESS OF GROWING TREES FROM SEEDS IN MORE DETAIL.
Can I immediately plant the seeds I purchased from your shop?
The short answer is NO. Almost all of the seed we sell require a pretreatment before you can plant them. Do not immediately plant the seeds and blame it on me when they don’t germinate… TREESEEDMAN MAKES NO GUARANTEES THAT YOUR SEEDS WILL GROW INTO TREES. Tree seeds have very specific requirements to germinate. Tree seeds can be a very difficult type of seed to grow.
PLEASE NOTE: TreeSeedMan makes absolutely NO GUARANTEE that your seeds will grow into trees. Please do not leave us a bad rating and review if things don’t work out with your seeds purchased. As stated, all tree seeds do not germinate and require very specific treatments the buyer is required to do and it is out of our hands if the seeds are not pretreated as required
What do I do if I haven’t received my order or if it is taking too long to arrive and believed to be lost by USPS on delivery?.?
Due to issues in the past with orders being sent in envelopes and the seeds being crushed or customers not receiving their orders we recently eliminated shipping orders in envelopes at a cheap shipping rate as an option and all orders are now shipped as packages through USPS and every order will have a tracking number shown on the buyers order page. Due to restrictions on sending plant materials in the mail to foreign countries we are only able to sell to customers from the UNITED STATES & CANADA.
How does shipping work for my order?
Orders being shipped to the United States are shipped via USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE SERVICES with buyers being given the option to upgrade shipping to PRIORITY SERVICES for an additional cost..
Orders being shipped to Canada are shipped via USPS 1st CLASS INTERNATIONAL PACKAGE SERVICES. This is the only option offered for orders being shipped to Canada at this time.
