Frequently asked questions

I did not receive the files

All products in my shop are digital downloads. No physical item will be shipped.

After purchase, you can download your files from your Etsy account here:

www.etsy.com/your/purchases

Please also check your email inbox and spam folder for Etsy’s download notification.

If you still cannot access your files, please contact me and I will help you solve the problem.

Sizing details

Most 3D laser cut files are made for specific material thicknesses, such as 3 mm, 1/8", 4 mm, 6 mm, or 1/4". Final model dimensions indcated in listing description.
If your material is different, the file can often be scaled to fit your thickness. I can usually help with this for free.

You can also scale it yourself:
New scale = real material thickness / file thickness × 100%.

Example: if your wood is 3.5 mm, use the 4 mm file:
3.5 / 4 × 100 = 87.5%.

Please note: I can scale the file for material thickness, but I do not resize or redesign the model to a custom finished size, because this requires manual changes to slots and connections.

Assembly instructions

Most complex 3D laser cut designs include step-by-step PDF assembly instructions. Simple flat designs or very simple models may not include assembly instructions.

Please check each listing description to see what files and instructions are included before purchase.

Custom and personalised orders

At the moment, I do not accept custom or personalized orders because I am focusing on creating new laser cut files and digital designs for my shop.

However, you are always welcome to send me your idea. If it fits my current design plans, I may consider creating a similar project in the future.

Parts do not fit together — what should I check?

Fitting issues are usually caused by a mismatch between your real material thickness and the file version. First, measure your plywood/acrylic with a caliper. Then use the folder that matches your material: 3 mm, 1/8" (3.175 mm), 4 mm, 6 mm, or 1/4" (6.35 mm).

After importing the file into your laser software, check that the slot width equals your real material thickness. If the difference is more than about 0.3 mm / 0.012", the parts may be too tight or too loose.

If needed, the file can be scaled:
New scale = real thickness / file thickness × 100%.
Example: 3.5 mm wood with a 4 mm file = 87.5%.

If you have trouble, message me and I’ll help.

Do I need to use a glue for assembly?

Most my 3D laser cut designs include small connection notches that help the parts fit together.

However, the final fit depends on your material, real material thickness, laser kerf, focus settings, and cutting quality.

For a stronger and longer-lasting finished item, I recommend using glue during assembly.

Some flat layered designs and decorative projects require glue.

Can I use your files with a CNC milling machine?

My designs are created specifically for laser cutting machines.

The files may open in CNC milling software, but I do not design or test them for CNC milling. You would need to adjust the tool paths yourself, including inside and outside cuts, so that all connections fit correctly.

Please also note that CNC milling machines may not be suitable for very small details or narrow slots.

I recommend using these files with laser cutting machines.

Can I use your files on Cricut machine?

Most designs include SVG files, so they can usually be opened in Cricut Design Space.

However, my files are created primarily for laser cutting. Some designs include separate cut, score, and engraving lines, and these may appear as separate objects in Cricut Design Space.

For 3D models, material thickness is very important. If the material is thinner or thicker than the file version, the parts may not fit correctly.

Common included versions are 3 mm, 1/8 inch, 4 mm, 6 mm, and 1/4 inch.

If you need help preparing a file for Cricut, please contact me before purchase.
