I am a fashion and jewelry designer and also an author of several best selling interior design books. I graduated from a three-year fashion design program in Milan, Italy and rounded out my fashion education with courses in Interior, Industrial and jewelry design. In 2006 I moved with my husband and 2 kids to beautiful Montreal.
I own Impact Galerie, located in the heart of Old Montreal where I sell my own line and the work of artists from all over the world. The city’s many art galleries showcase the work of local and international artists, both emerging and established.
My work is inspired by nature, ancient cultures and even fairy tales. Creating new collections is always such an exciting process; I am always surprised that, after so many years, I can still develop a new idea into designing a full line.
Artisanfield offers a minimalist, dainty and simple jewelry line made mostly with gold filled and terling silver wires and natural stones.
All you need to know about gold filled:
Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. Gold filled is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or turn colors. As a matter of fact, anyone who can wear gold can wear gold filled without worries of any allergic reaction to the jewelry. Gold filled jewelry is an economical alternative to solid gold!
Gold-Filled items are generally considered lifetime products, and the gold layer will not wear off, as it will in electroplated products. Caring for Gold Filled items is as easy as caring for any gold jewelry. Simply keep away from chemicals, clean regularly with mildly sudsy water, rinse well and pat dry with a non-scratching cloth. Polish gently with a jewelry polishing cloth.
