This is a very nice piece. What I find so interesting is the band around the top looks like a different glaze/treatment, but it’s unglazed like the bottom. The curve just causes the light to reflect differently!

This piece is my absolute FAVORITE of the three pieces I purchased from this seller. The others are both excellent as well. But I like the shape and matte finish on this particular one. I will be watching for others to come along in the same configuration and perhaps a slightly larger (matcha tea bowl/chawan) size. Highly Recommended Seller!

The texture is so unusual and attractive. The shape of the bowl, the color & grain on the outside, & the glaze inside all work together to form an amazing work of art.

Beautiful design. The thin, broken black lines against the cream are perfect for this bowl.
