Itembazar.com Inc was founded in 2000 by then-college student Alex Tenenbaum. An undergraduate at John Carroll University (in Cleveland Ohio), Alex quickly realized an opportunity when his local college bookstore offered him a meager 15% return on his very expensive text books. The idea was born and from there, just like many start-ups, Itembazaar’s headquarters became Alex’s basement. For the next eight years, Itembazaar focused on selling new and used books, carrying over 5,000 unique titles at its highest point.

Itembazaar has grown from a one-person operation to having a staff of more than a dozen. Each employee brings highly-skilled knowledge to the team, with diverse backgrounds in business, engineering, marketing, the performing arts and computer programming. The staff continues to deliver innovative solutions allowing the company to flourish.
