Always a Work in Progress
I spent my adolescence either with a notebook writing fiction, ideas, and observations or with my sketchbook, drawing and experimenting. Color, nature and urbanity alike, and Japanese arts never cease to inspire me.
In high school a friend invited me to the school Japanese club. I studied abroad for the first time in 2006 after beginning study of the language when I was drawn in by the cultural aesthetics both traditional and modern. During my visit I was amazed by the variety of and quality of products available. I have stickers in my personal collection from this trip which I found too pretty to use and they are still in wonderful condition. 2007 I visited Japan again, 2011-2015 I was able to live and work in Japan and had the blessing of turning my long-time passion for Japanese and Kawaii design into a business through my Etsy shop.
Moving forward in the future I hope to provide also Oregon local products. Local craft kits from the area in Japan where I lived were popular sellers in the past but have become unavailable since our move back. For this reason I have in development a line of kits including a starter felting kit with estimated release early summer 2016.
We are always looking forward to the variety of experience and positive changes operating our Etsy business has brought into our life.
