I designed and printed my first moon phase calendar in November of 2008, although the name MARGINS didn't come until several years later. All prints and frames are created by hand in Ojai, California. MARGINS specializes in experimenting with a wide variety of hand printing techniques, materials, and color. As the name suggests, I tend to work with patterns, processes, and principles that may have been long forgotten, hidden, or on the margins. I employ the sun, ocean, and earth in my process of silkscreen, letterpress, etching, and lithography.

Every effort is made to work in accordance with sustainable printing practices. The inks used are water and soy based. I work with indigenous communities, using Fair Trade and tree-free papers when possible. The wood used in the frames is Forest Stewardship Council certified.
