Cuando era niño, quería ser dibujante y arquitecto.
La parte de dibujante fue bastante bien. He pasado gran parte de los últimos 20 años ilustrando libros infantiles para editoriales como Scholastic, Lerner y Dutton Children's Books. También he escrito y dibujado divertidas tarjetas de felicitación para American Greetings y Recycled Paper Greetings.
La parte del arquitecto, sin embargo, fue un poco más complicada. Resulta que no te permitirán construir rascacielos sin un título elegante y habilidades matemáticas básicas. Así que pensé en dibujar algunos de mis edificios favoritos en su lugar, con toda la personalidad que sabes que realmente tienen. Si aún no he sacado nada de tu ciudad, escríbeme una línea y la agregaré a la lista de tareas pendientes. Nunca conocí una ciudad que no me gustara, y no he estado en la mitad de las que me gustaría. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a cartoonist and an architect.
The cartoonist part went pretty well. I've spent much of the last 20 years illustrating children's books for publishers including Scholastic, Lerner, and Dutton Children's Books. I've also written and drawn funny greeting cards for American Greetings and Recycled Paper Greetings.
The architect part, however, was a bit trickier. Turns out they won't let you build skyscrapers without a fancy degree and basic math skills. So I thought I'd draw some of my favorite buildings instead, with all the personality you know they really have. If I haven't drawn anything from your city yet, drop me a line and I'll add it to the to-do list. I never met a city I didn't like, and I haven't been to half as many as I'd like. That's also on the to-do list.
