Art has always been important to me although I did not engage in the practice of drawing or painting until I was seventeen years old. Now I have been making art for approximately 13 years. I have never pursued an extensive course of study in any form of visual art. I am also colorblind which impairs my ability to distinguish red from green and blue from purple. When I started drawing I did so without a goal or mission in mind. My art has mainly served as a distraction from negativity or problems that may arise within my life, and I feel fortunate to have a supportive family, and the luxury of time. In my experience time is the most valuable resource we have. I have spent many hours drawing and focusing on my own art as well as viewing the art made by other people. Anyone can be an artist, quality of work is subjective, but every person and everything they produce, experience, or choose to do has value, of one kind or another. I am thankful for everyone who views, considers, and supports my endeavors. Lastly, thank you for reading this and looking at my work.
