Tallow Balm without essential oil or herbs. A balm is more concentrated than a whipped version.
Well-rendered tallow at low temperatures and manually stripped of by-products has its own odor. This can be described as slightly nutty. But we have noticed that that is very subjective. We do not use deodorization methods such as salt/baking soda that reduce quality. The smell and structure may differ slightly per batch. It remains a natural product. If you don't mind the natural scent of tallow and want the purest version, this one is for you. If you think you have difficulty with this, we have great other options for you.
These tallow products originated from my love for natural living and years of interest and research in health and nutrition. With a background of training/courses in naturopathy, holistic massage and nutrition. The products we use in our balms and butters are carefully selected so that we work with products of very good quality. Just like a good chef who looks for the best ingredients, we do this for our skin products. We render our tallow ourselves and do not buy ready-made products, so we can precisely control the temperature, method and time. After much trial and error, I have also found a method to create the best possible balm that feels nice and is not too hard/soft in composition.
After thorough research, we have chosen to manufacture our products with organic cold-pressed jojoba oil.
In addition, our Balms contain a little beeswax and this comes from one of the better bee growers in the Netherlands, pure and unprocessed.
Our suet is of the best quality available in the Netherlands. It is from Scottish Highlanders, Angus and Limousin breed (A2) that graze in unfertilized nature reserves.
Suet as skin care has been praised for generations for its nourishing properties. When chemical products were introduced, suet took a back seat. Nowadays a change is taking place and people are once again discovering the value and beneficial effects of traditional products. And that is not for nothing!
Keep out of the sun or warm areas, but also out of cold areas. So keep it at room temperature as much as possible, otherwise the structure will change.
Shelf life 6 months. Make sure that no moisture gets into the jar, as this will cause mold to develop. There are no preservatives in it. Everything is made to order so super fresh.
