The pattern is written well, and includes pictures. Without the pictures, I feel like it would be difficult to figure out how to seam together the mitten. There was no shipping required since it was a digital download. I did reach out to the shop owner to ask if the mittens are worked fingertips down or cuff up because I was doing a color change in mine that was dependent on that answer and it was not easy to tell by the pattern. They responded within a couple days and were very nice.
