********SHIPPING & PROCESSING GUIDE*********

Once your order is placed, our shipping team will pull your items and ensure they watered & dried to the perfect moisture level to ensure your plants are not too wet or too dry. During the late fall & winter seasons, we do suggest purchasing a heat pack to go along with your order. We offer 72, 96, and 120-hour heat packs and have written a guide below to help you choose which type works best for your area. Please sign-up for USPS text updates to receive day-by-day updates on when your package will arrive. Once your package arrives at a distribution center in your state or your local post office, it usually will arrive that same day or the following day. We encourage the use of their text-update system so your package does not sit out in the heat or cold for too long. If anything is wrong with your order, please message us within 24 hours of delivery and we will happily work with you to resolve any issues. We do require photos of the entire order together and photos of any damaged items to be sent within 24 hours of when USPS marked the order delivered. Due to the perishable nature of plants, replacements will only be provided if we are notified with photos of any issue within this 24 hour window.

********FALL & WINTER SHIPPING GUIDE*********

We are able to ship year-round no matter the weather. By using a combination of thermal wraps, heat packs and USPS Priority shipping our plants maintain a heated and comfortable environment throughout the transit process. In addition, USPS Priority shipping includes a $100 shipping insurance policy which we handle on our end. We do recommend signing up for text notification updates through USPS so that when your order does arrive it doesn’t sit outside for long periods of time. These steps combined with our winter packaging create a care-free ordering experience, even during the coldest times of the year.

We offer three different varieties of UniHeat shipping packs. Packages shipping via USPS Priority to large metropolitan areas tend to arrive within 1-3 days while packages going to more rural areas can take 2-5 days. If your package is very heavy and going to the West Coast, it will be shipped using Fed Ex Home Delivery. This method has very accurate shipping updates and tends to take between 2-4 days. Keep these timeframes in mind when selecting between our 72-hour, 96-hour, and 120-hour heat packs.

We do utilize both First Class and Priority shipping classes as well as Fed Ex Home Delivery. Any purchase with 3 or more plants will automatically be shipped using USPS Priority. Any purchase with less than 3 plants can be upgraded from First Class to Priority at checkout or within a listing. Heavier packages containing pottery or very large plants and going to the West Coast are shipped using Fed Ex Home Delivery.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What shipping methods do you use?

We use USPS Priority for most orders. We also use USPS First Class and allow upgrades to UPS 2-Day Air & UPS 3-Day Select. Most rare plant orders will be automatically shipped through UPS.

Do you carry insurance on orders?

Yes, all orders are insured through USPS or UPS. If a package is lost in-transit, we will handle the insurance claim on our end and re-send the order. However, if a package is damaged, it will require the recipient to take damaged items to the closest branch.

Do you replace damaged items?

We do, but we require photos of any damaged item within 24 hours of delivery. We have set up the 24-hour timeframe because it is your responsibility to track the package and bring it indoors on the day of delivery. Leaving packages outdoors overnight or for extended periods of time in too cold or too hot of temperatures can cause damage that we have no control over.

Do you have any tips for receiving packages?

One trick we have noticed the plant community uses in the winter or during 100+ degree days is to have all their mail put on hold and held at their local post office. This prevents their package from sitting on a delivery vehicle all day. Instead, their package sits inside a 65-70 degree facility and can be picked whenever they feel like grabbing it.
