5 out of 5 starsI’m really grateful this pattern exists because it’s so hard to find sewing patterns for activewear with pockets! The instructions and diagrams were super clear and easy to follow. I frankensteined the short patterns together so that I could add the pockets from the cross shorts to the bike shorts, which was fairly easy to do.
Gorgeous! I love the fabric you chose.
Good fit, easy to follow instructions! Thanks
I made two pairs of view B bike pants. Very quick sew and great fit. I love this pattern.
Thanks so much for the review. The shorts look great! So glad you love the pattern :)
I made the size corresponding to my measurements but found that the waistband (v-front) was far too large for the pants. I tried to attach it anyway, and the waistband was huge on me and gaped substantially. Meanwhile, the pants were very tight around the hips. In order to get the waistband to fit onto the topmost edge of the pants I would have to size down the waistband piece approximately 2 sizes. I've never encountered this with a leggings pattern before, as the waistband is usually slightly smaller than the corresponding pieces it attaches to. I wanted to love this pattern, but unfortunately, the fit was just too off for me.
Thanks for your feedback. So sorry to hear that you had issues with the pattern. The waistband piece should definitely be slightly smaller than the waistline of the shorts, so not sure what might have happened there. Unfortunately the end result of activewear can depend so much of the stretch of the fabric so I always recommend looked at the finished garment measurements when choosing your pattern size. I hope you can make this pattern work for you! Ellen :)
