Care instructions for cotton lycra, cotton jersey, double brushed poly lycra, poly lycra swim knit, rayon blends and other Rubyjam Fabric knit fabric: Cold gentle machine wash with like colours using mild detergent. Do not bleach, soak, rub or wring. Do not tumble dry or dry clean. Do not iron.

Fabric length - metres vs yards

All Rubyjam Fabric is sold in HALF METRE (50cm) increments. If you order 3 units, you will receive 1.5M of fabric cut in one continuous length. One metre is just over 39 inches and is therefore about 10% bigger than one yard. My fabric is sold in half metre (50cm) increments which is just under 20 inches and is therefore bigger than a half yard. Most of my fabric is 150cm wide, or approximately 60 inches. My range of extra wide solid/plain cotton lycra colours are about 185cm or just over 72 inches. I hope this helps to clear up the mystery of the metric system :)

I offer generous flat rate shipping for any size order delivered to any Australian address for just A$12.00 For my international customers, I have added the costs for international postage to the shop cart. Any overcharges will be refunded. In the event that your order costs more for us to ship, we will cover this cost.

Fabric samples are available on request. There is no charge for samples sent to any Australian address. Full swatch cards containing samples of all solid cotton lycra colours are available for a small fee.

As standard, I offer flat rate shipping $12.00 to any Australian address but this does not include Express Post. If you would prefer for your order to be shipped by "Express Post", please select the Express Post shipping upgrade during check out. Rush orders will be shipped as soon as possible. Print-on-demand Products

Rubyjam Fabric 'Bespoke' print-on-demand products such as mugs, tote bags, stretch knit panels, soft book panels and custom quilt labels are made to order. These items are digitally printed right here at our studio in Sydney, Australia. We use Oeko-Tex 100 certified inks only. Please allow time for your print on demand product to be made. Our current production time is approximately 1-2 weeks from receipt of your order.

2 way or 4 way stretch?

Fabric listed as having a 2 way stretch means the fabric stretches on the crossgrain and also recovers, hence "two" part - stretch and recover. Fabric listed as having a 4 way stretch means the fabric stretches and recovers both on the cross and lengthwise grains. Please refer to the fabric listing description for details including amount and type of stretch. Most of my fabric features a good four-way stretch. This means the fabric is suitable for apparel as it will stretch multi-directionally to provide a comfortable fit to the wearer's body shape. This is very important for activewear, swimwear, leisurewear, etc.

My target is to have your order cut and packed for shipping within two hours to ensure it is out the door and on the way to you as quickly as possible. Yes, I'm really that fast :) I am happy to cancel your order provided the fabric has not been cut. Once your order has been cut, there will be a 25% restocking fee charged (25% x order total) to cover my time, wasted packaging materials and potential loss I may incur if failing to resell your order to another customer.
