All orders within the EU are shipped free of charge and have a 30 day retun policy. All our plated jewelry and fine art objects begin with a real element from nature, such as a honeybee, clover, daisy, or seashell. These are prepared and preserved in our UK studio by master alchemist John King, using the traditional process of electroplating. Most natural items are freshly sealed in epoxy, as drying would cause them to lose their natural shape. This layer protects and stabilizes the form, and makes the object airtight and watertight, ready for the next stages. After sealing, each piece is coated in a layer of copper through a precise, time-intensive electroplating process. Finally, it’s finished in either pure 24K gold or .999 fine silver. How is your glass art made?

All our glass jewelry is handmade from the highest quality borosilicate glass, known for its clarity, strength, and resistance to thermal shock. Each piece is shaped by hand using the traditional flame-working technique (also called lampwork). This process uses a high-temperature torch to melt and shape glass rods, no molds or casting involved. Whether it’s a floating galaxy, a blooming implosion, or a whimsical mushroom, every glass piece is flame-worked by master alchemist John King and carries the mark of its unique creation.

A real Blue Morpho butterfly, eternalised in pure 24-karat gold through alchemy magic and elevated to a bespoke piece of fine art home decor. In collaboration with the Sussex Butterfly Gardens and master alchemist John King, this is a totally unique specimen and Nr. 1 of 5 in our ongoing "Butterfly Love" Alchemy Taxidermy series.

🔨 How it's made
This is not a print. Not a reproduction. Not a traditional pinned specimen. This is a real Blue Morpho butterfly, sourced directly from the Sussex Butterfly Gardens, an IABES-accredited organisation specializing in butterfly breeding for conservation, education and exhibition. Every butterfly has lived a full and happy life and died of natural causes. No butterfly was harmed in the making of this work.

In traditional taxidermy, the shell remains, the soul disappears. In our special alchemy process however, the organic core is preserved and sealed entirely for eternity in specialized epoxy, and magically plated in pure 24-karat gold by master alchemist John King. The soul stays. The beauty intensifies. The result is fine art.

The shadow box frame is handcrafted by Louis Oosting of Alulijst Amsterdam (alulijst.nl), a renowned Amsterdam frame maker since 1986. Museum-quality glass, a deep forest green linen mount, and a warm natural wood finish. A statement piece for the interior design lover, the nature enthusiast, the art collector. Comes with a built-in hanging hook and a small wooden easel stand, ready to hang or display on a shelf or mantelpiece.
