I was born to create. You name the creative outlet and I've probably tried it! I've always loved craft projects-- cross stitching, drawing, painting water colors, and sewing-- just to name a few. :)
I'm a combination crafter and writer. I divide my time between both of these creative pursuits.
My first book, "Shipwrecks of Coos County," was publishing by Arcadia Publishing in 2011. My follow up book, "Paw Prints: A Collection of Pet Stories" was released in 2013. In addition to my own stories, I convinced a few friends to contribute stories-- including fellow Etsy artist, Brenda Salzano. Also in 2013, I self-published a collection of short fiction simply titled "Shorts." It's a diverse mix of poetry and short stories written over a 15 year period.
Since then, my first shipwreck book did so well that my publisher invited me to write another book in the series. "Shipwrecks of Curry County" was published by Arcadia Publishing in 2017. Both of my shipwreck books were published as part of the "Images of America" series. Each book contains around 200 historical photographs. The difference between the two is simply the area that they cover-- the Coos County book covers the area just north of Lakeside to just past Bandon. The Curry County book picks up where it left off and covers the area stretching to the California state line. The goal of both books was to highlight our rich maritime history here on the southern Oregon coast over a roughly 150 year period.
I've created blogs and social media accounts to discuss both my writing and crafting projects. Please feel free to visit them and leave a comment. Thanks for stopping by!
