5 out of 5 starsI have not gifted this yet to my granddaughter but from all I can tell, it appears to be as advertised and should be fun for her to do

5 out of 5 starsI really enjoyed painting my batik! Super cool! It was so soothing, watching the colors blend and saturate the gorgeous fabric. I'm big on water color painting and this takes it up a notch. Looking forward to painting many more..

5 out of 5 starsWhat fun for my granddaughter. It gave her a new view of "painting" something, an unusual gift. The cat is the perfect picture to interest an 8 year old girl who loves cats!

5 out of 5 starsThis was so easy to do and turned out beautiful. Definitely follow the directions on not using too much water because it does continue to spread.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in the kit?
The kit comes with one pre-printed wax design on an 8 inch x 8 inch piece of fabric, one paintbrush, a set of six fabric paints (red, yellow, blue, orange, black, purple) in powdered form, a water dropper and a paint palette.
Is it easy to paint?
Yes, it's easy to paint. The design is outlined in wax and comes mounted on the cardboard. Follow the instructions on the back of the kit to fold it into a box and remove the middle piece of the cardboard which is already perforated.
Mix the paint with water and you can use the palette to combine the colors to form new colors. For example, you can mix blue and yellow to get green.
Do not use too much water when painting on the fabric as this may cause your painting to wrinkle.
The wax outline will stop the paint from bleeding over to the unpainted area.
Also, its advisable to start with light colors first before moving to darker colors.
How long should I wait for my painting to dry?
It usually takes about 30 minutes for the painting to dry. Leave it in a cool dry place and not in direct sunlight.
What should I do with my painting after I'm done?
You could frame your painting in an 8 inch x 8 inch frame. These frames are usually sold online or in your local art & craft stores.
