Mi chiamo Rosie e ho fondato "Dogs of Character" perché non riuscivo a trovare opere d'arte che prendessero sul serio il legame tra cane e uomo, non come qualcosa di carino o decorativo, ma come qualcosa di autenticamente antico e profondo. Prima delle città, prima della scrittura, i cani erano già al guinzaglio nelle pitture rupestri. Nei mosaici romani, avevano nomi ed epitaffi. Sono sempre stati i nostri compagni, non i nostri accessori.
Ogni calendario illustrato, stampa e regalo in questo negozio è pensato per chi ha già capito questo. Chi ha un bassotto che ha opinioni sul percorso della passeggiata. I'm Rosie, and I started Dogs of Character because I couldn't find artwork that took the dog-human bond seriously, not as something cute or decorative, but as something genuinely ancient and profound. Before cities, before writing, dogs were already on leashes in cave paintings. In Roman mosaics, they had names and epitaphs. They have always been our companions, not our accessories.
Every illustrated calendar, print and gift in this shop is designed for the person who already understands this. The one whose Dachshund has opinions about the walk route. Whose Corgi carries themselves with dignity that has nothing to do with their size. Whose dog attends every important meeting, every dinner, every moment that matters.
