A non-judgmental workbook for when the math doesn’t work
If you've ever sat at the kitchen table trying to decide which bill not to pay, this shop is for you.
When I looked at what's on Etsy for people in money trouble, most of it promised far too much. Pay off your debt in a year. Fix your finances in 30 days. Never stress about money again. And the pages were loud and kind of stressful: neon colors, giant fonts, countdown timers, the kind of design that makes your heart race when it's already racing.
That isn't what people need when your paycheck stops covering groceries, gas, and rent. You need something steady. Something that says: here's what to protect first, here's what you can say on the phone, here's who can help, and here's one small thing you can do today if you can do nothing else.
So that's what I made. When the Math Isn't Mathing is a calm, practical workbook for the hard months, and for the months after, because this usually isn't a one-time problem. It doesn't promise to fix everything. It helps you make better decisions when there aren't any easy ones.
A few things I care about:
- Honesty. If something can't be fixed with a worksheet, the workbook says so and points you to real help.
- Calm design. Quiet colors, clear type, plenty of space to write. Urgency is labeled in words, not alarms.
- Real information. Programs, rules, and phone numbers are checked against official sources, and every edition is dated so you know how current it is.
- No shame. Deciding which bill to pay late isn't a personal failing. It's triage, and you're allowed to do it on purpose.
Thank you for being here. I hope it makes this month a little lighter.
