Bienvenue dans Revived by Ruby, ma (relativement) nouvelle entreprise, prenant des objets récupérés, mis au rebut et donnés et les faisant revivre en quelque chose de beau, aidant mon propre rétablissement en cours de route 🌈

Je dis "relativement" nouveau car c'est quelque chose que j'ai toujours aimé faire; cependant jusqu'en mars 2020, je travaillais en fait à temps plein comme enseignant, un travail que j'adorais. Début mars, j'ai attrapé Covid-19 - avant que les tests ne soient disponibles et, certainement avant que quiconque ne sache quoi que ce soit à ce sujet pendant si longtemps !!! Maintenant, bien sûr, nous le connaissons sous le nom de long-covid.

Plus de trois ans plus tard, j'ai dû m'habituer à une toute nouvelle normalité. Ce que j'ai réalisé pendant mon rétablissement, c'est à quel point l'art et la créativité sont importants pour mes journées - et surtout pour ma santé.

J'ai remarqué très tôt que lorsque je dessinais ou peignais, j'oubliais tous mes symptômes et appréciais tout ce que je faisais - magique !! Alors me voilà maintenant... au cours des dernières années (tout bouge au ralenti avec le long-covid !) j'ai ajouté à ma boutique Etsy et partagé ce que j'ai créé sur Instagram @revivedbyruby.

Mes pièces sont uniques, uniques et s'appuient sur tout ce que j'ai, elles évoluent donc toujours.
J'aime utiliser mon environnement et la nature comme source d'inspiration. Les animaux et les oiseaux britanniques sont un favori absolu, en particulier les mammifères des bois et des campagnes qui me rappellent les jours heureux où je pouvais me promener dans la campagne.

Revived by Ruby sera un mélange éclectique et évolutif de toutes sortes de choses qui doivent être revitalisées et donner un nouveau souffle - je veux les faire revivre comme l'art l'a fait pour moi 🌈🌞

Welcome to Revived by Ruby, my (relatively) new venture, taking salvaged, scrap and donated items and reviving them into something beautiful, helping my own recovery along the way 🌈

I say ‘relatively’ new as this is something I’ve always loved doing; however up until March 2020, I was actually working full-time as a teacher, a job I loved. In early March I caught Covid-19 - before tests were available and, certainly before anyone knew anything about it lasting so long!!! Now, of course we know it as long-covid.

Over three years later, I’ve had to get used to a whole new normal. What I’ve realised during my recovery is how much art and being creative are important to my days - and especially to my health.

I noticed early on that when I was drawing or painting, I forgot all my symptoms and just enjoyed whatever I was doing- magic!! So here I am now... over the past years (everything moves in slow motion with long-covid!) I’ve added to my Etsy shop and shared what I’ve been creating on Instagram @revivedbyruby.

My pieces are one-offs, unique and rely on whatever I have, so are always evolving.
I love to use my surroundings and nature as inspiration. Uk animals and birds are an absolute favourite- especially woodland and rural mammals that remind me of happy days when I could walk round the countryside.

Revived by Ruby will be an evolving eclectic mix of all sorts of things which need to be revitalised and given a new lease of life - I want to revive them just as art has done for me 🌈🌞
