Je m'appelle Erik et j'ai créé Rust Up Buttercup pour partager mon art en ligne, notamment sur ma chaîne YouTube et bien sûr sur Etsy. Ma passion, c'est le travail du métal. J'adore le façonner et le souder. C'est fascinant de voir comment, en quelques minutes, on peut souder deux morceaux de métal et obtenir un objet si solide et résistant, capable de supporter presque tout. C'est tout aussi fascinant de constater que la rouille prend une forme unique, impossible à reproduire à l'identique, même en s'y essayant. C'est comme si chaque œuvre portait son empreinte digitale.

Je n'ai pas toujours travaillé le métal ; j'aime aussi beaucoup peindre. Ma technique de prédilection est l'acrylique sur toile, avec une touche d'aérographe. Passionnée de peinture et d'art, après le lycée, j'ai intégré l'Art Institute of Washington à Seattle, où j'ai obtenu un diplôme en design industriel. Aujourd'hui, je crée des œuvres d'art à travers le métal et je continue à peindre dès que j'en ai l'occasion.

My name is Erik and I started Rust Up Buttercup as a way to showcase my art online through my YouTube channel and of coarse Etsy. My main focus and my passion is my metal art. I love forming metal and I love welding. Its amazing how you can weld two pieces of metal, and in a mater of minutes you have something so strong and solid that will hold up to almost anything. Its also amazing that when you start to rust the piece of metal the rust takes its own form, and you can never duplicate it no mater how hard you try. Its like the art takes on it's own fingerprint.

I have not always done metal, I love to paint as well. My median is acrylic on canvas with a side of airbrushing. I loved painting and art and after graduating high school I decided to attend the Art Institute of Washington Seattle where I earned a degree in Industrial Design. Now I create art through my metal art and still throw some painting it the mix when I can.
