Information I collect
To complete your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you have authorized Etsy to provide me), such as your name, email address, mailing address, payment information and the details of the product you order. You can also choose to provide me with additional personal information if we ask you such as the phone number for delivery by carrier.
Why I need your information and how I use it:
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, for example when using your information to complete your purchase order, invoice, bill of lading or settle disputes.
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or order of a court or as part of a legal claim, such as keeping information about your purchases.
• if necessary in the context of my legitimate interests, if these legitimate interests are not nullified by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you have requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information if necessary, to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
My customer information is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary in order to provide you with my services and to comply with my obligations under Etsy's Sales Policy and Etsy's Terms of Service.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my store, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information in connection with this transaction only to the extent permitted by law.
• In accordance with the laws. I may collect, use, store and share your information if I believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary: (a) to respond to legal proceedings or government requests; (b) apply my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate and resolve problems of fraud and other illegal, security or technical activities; or (d) protect the rights, property and safety of my clients or others.
Data retention
I keep your personal information only as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I am required to keep this information for 10 years from the date of issue of the invoice to comply with my legal and tax obligations.
Transfers of personal information outside the EU
I may store and process your information via third-party hosting services in the United States and other jurisdictions. As a result, I can transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government supervision laws that your jurisdiction. If I am supposed to transfer information about you outside the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer because Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
Your rights
If you live in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights to your personal information. Although some of these rights generally apply, some rights apply only in limited circumstances. I describe these rights below:
• Access: You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Modify, restrict, delete: You may also have the right to modify, limit my use or delete your personal information. No exceptional circumstances (such as when I have to store data for legal reasons) I will delete your personal information upon request.
• Subject: You may object to the processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and receive marketing messages from me after giving your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have legitimate reasons for continuing to use that information or if it is necessary for legal and tax reasons.
• Complain: If you live in the EU and wish to express a concern about the use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your authority local data protection.
