A high-quality wooden puzzle that combines art and form.
This puzzle is dedicated to the early 20th-century Japanese artist Kamisaka Sekka. The painting depicts three cranes against a beige background and is part of Sekka's masterpiece woodblock print, Momoyogusa (A World of Things). You can find more images of Sekka's work among the puzzle pieces.
Format: 490 x 334 mm. 458 pieces
Unlike an ordinary puzzle, the ClairDeBois puzzle pieces themselves, with their unique shapes, are what make them so fascinating. Often, the outline of a single piece reveals a motif reminiscent of the artist. Each puzzle piece is one of a kind.
Assembling the puzzle is challenging even with just 200 pieces: wavy lines, human figures, spirals, flowers and all other original shapes must be carefully examined to see if they fit together.
All ClairDeBois creations are 100% made in Berlin: from design to printing to laser cutting.
The puzzle comes packaged in an elegant cardboard magnetic box. ClairDeBois puzzles are very often used as original gifts for Christmas, birthdays, or simply as a thank you.
Caution: Some of the pieces are very delicate, which is part of their charm. However, they are also fragile. If a piece breaks, a little wood glue should fix the problem. Otherwise, one piece will break into two, but this won't prevent assembly. Also, a slight odor from the manufacturing process may escape when you open the box. This odor will dissipate quickly once the pieces are exposed to air.
