This listing is for kitchen knobs and drawer handles made from granulated river slag. River slag is the left-over material from the process of iron ore making in the 1700’s-1800’s. They have a pottery/glass like finish to them from the melting process and are finished with clear resin epoxy. This is for knobs 71-140. Please check our other listings for the others.

These old stone kilns were often on the banks of rivers and the cooling process created molten formations of various colors, shapes, and sizes. These pieces were then shaped by the rivers for over 140 years into the pieces they are today. Each river slag piece is carefully cut and in the exact shape of the form it was found in. That’s why no two pieces are alike even though you can purchase pieces with similarities in size and/or color. Each piece has been individually numbered and you can add multiple numbers to your check out.

We suggest you add all the pieces you desire in your set to your cart as you go so no one else chooses the color or size that will complete your collection. We have provided 4 options for your base colors but recommend the satin nickel with the lighter colors and blue, and the antique brass with the darker colors.
