Ruby: A lovely handwoven 100% wool scarf in ruby red and purple random stripe with a small cream stripe through it. This is a fine wool loose woven piece making it feather light but also warm. It's finished with a squiggly fringe.

This was woven on a rigid heddle loom to my own design. My primary interest is colour and yarn rather than complex patterns. My work is almost exclusively natural fibres and therefore occasional small variations in texture or colour can occur. All length measurements include fringes or tassels. All pieces can be hand washed, laid flat to dry and given a light press.

Please note that photographs can not always capture 100% accuracy of true colour but I have used natural light for the closest match. Also, colours can vary on recipients’ screens as well as the sender’s!

I give heartfelt thanks to my daughter Sally for her help and for modelling so beautifully and to my daughter Rosie for her enthusiasm and expertise about yarn and for setting me off on my weaving path!
