How do I download my files?
Your files are ready as soon as your payment is confirmed.
• On a computer: sign in to Etsy, go to You › Purchases and reviews, find your order and click Download Files.
• Etsy also emails you a link to your downloads (check your spam folder if you can't see it). If you checked out as a guest, use the link in that email.
• Some downloads are a .zip file. On Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All; on a Mac, double-click it.
Downloading on a computer is easiest. Phones and tablets can download the files, but unzipping and editing Word files is much easier on a computer.

What format are the files, and can I edit them in Google Docs or Pages?
The templates are Microsoft Word files (.docx). The full kit also includes an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) for the induction tracker and PDF guides; single templates come with a one-page Quick Start PDF.
• Microsoft Word: open and edit straight away.
• Google Docs / Google Sheets (free): upload the file to Google Drive, open it, then choose File › Save as Google Docs (or Save as Google Sheets). The Quick Start explains the few differences, for example using Find and replace for [Company Name].
• LibreOffice (free): opens and edits the files too.
• Apple Pages and Numbers can open Word and Excel files, but the layout may shift a little. For the best result on a Mac, use Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice.

Is this legal advice?
No. The kit and templates are practical guidance and templates for small employers, not legal advice. They were checked against official UK guidance (GOV.UK, Acas, HSE, ICO and others) as at September 2026, and they link to those sources so you can check the current position, because employment law and guidance change. The kit doesn't include an employment contract, and the handbook starter is a structure for you to fill in, not a finished set of policies.
For anything unusual, such as a dismissal, a dispute or a complicated contract, contact Acas or a qualified adviser.
Does it cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
The templates are written for employers in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), where most employment and health and safety rules are the same. Where things differ, the kit says so. For example:
• Northern Ireland employment law differs in places (for example, the timing of the written statement of particulars), and the guide in the full kit says so. NI employers should check nidirect and the Labour Relations Agency.
• The Care sector pack is written for England (CQC and the Care Certificate) and points Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish providers to their own frameworks (SSSC, Social Care Wales and NISCC).
• The alcohol-licensing items note where the Scottish licensing rules apply.

Can I add my own logo and company name?
Yes, that's what they're designed for. Every Word template has a "YOUR LOGO" box in the header and a [Company Name] field.
• Word: right-click the logo box › Change Picture. Type your company name once in File › Info › Properties › Company and update the fields, and it fills in on the header and footer. You can also change one theme colour to restyle the headings and tables.
• Google Docs: right-click the logo box › Replace image, and use Edit › Find and replace on [Company Name].

Can I get a refund?
Because these are digital files, I can't accept returns, exchanges or cancellations once the files have been downloaded.
If a file is faulty, won't open or isn't what the listing describes, please send me a message through Etsy. I'll send you a working replacement, or give you a refund if I can't put it right.
This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
Can I share the files with my team, or resell them?
Your purchase gives you a licence to use and adapt the templates within your own business, including across more than one site. Managers and colleagues in your business can use the copies you've branded, for example to induct new starters.
Please don't:
• resell the files, or include them in another product, course or download
• share or upload the files publicly, or give them to other businesses

Will the templates be kept up to date?
Each template shows when it was checked against official guidance (currently September 2026), and the files link to the official sources so you can check the current position. Because law changes, always check the linked sources before relying on a date or rule.
Do you take custom requests?
I don't currently write custom documents or give advice on individual situations. But if there's a template you'd find useful that isn't in the shop, or a sector you'd like a pack for, send me a message through Etsy. Suggestions really do help me decide what to add next.
